What is the most significant information I must know about fesoterodine?

• You must not take this medicine if you are allergic to fesoterodine or tolterodine (Detrol), if you have uncontrolled glaucoma, or if you have a blockage of the urinary tract, stomach, or intestines.

• Till you take fesoterodine, speak your doctor if you have glaucoma, urination problems, liver or kidney malady, myasthenia gravis, or severe constipation.

• Do not crush, chew, or interrupt an extended-release tablet. Swallow it intact. Breaking or opening the pill may reason too many of the drug to be released at one time.

• Fesoterodine may reason blurred vision or impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be alert and able to see clearly.

• Avoid becoming overheated or dehydrated during exercice and in hot weather. Fesoterodine can decrease perspiration and you may be more prone to heat stroke.

• Drinking alcohol can magnify determined side effects of fesoterodine.

• There are much another drugs that can interact with fesoterodine. Speak your doctor about all medications you use. This includes prescription, over the counter, vitamin, and herbal commodity. Do not start a new medicine without telling your doctor. Hold a list of all your medicines and show it to any healthcare provider who treats you.

What is fesoterodine?

• Fesoterodine reduces spasms of the bladder muscles.

• Fesoterodine is used to treat overactive bladder with symptoms of urinary frequency, urgency, and incontinence.

• Fesoterodine may also be used for purposes not listed in this medicine guide.

What must I discuss with my healthcare provider till taking fesoterodine?

• You must not use this medicine if you are allergic to fesoterodine or tolterodine (Detrol), or if you have:

· a blockage of the urinary tract (difficulty urinating);

· a blockage in your stomach or intestines; or

· untreated or uncontrolled glaucoma.

• To create certain you can safely take fesoterodine, speak your doctor if you have any of these another conditions:

· glaucoma;

· liver disease;

· kidney disease;

· urination problems;

· myasthenia gravis; or

· severe constipation.

• FDA pregnancy category C. It is not known whether fesoterodine will harm an unborn child. Speak your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant while using this medication.

• It is not known whether fesoterodine passes into breast milk or if it could harm a nursing child. Do not use this medicine without telling your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby.

• Fesoterodine is not for use in children.

• Adults who are 75 years or older may be more likely to have side effects from this medication.

How must I take fesoterodine?

• Take exactly as predesigned by your doctor. Do not take in larger or less amounts or for longer than recommended. Follow the directions on your prescription label.

• Take this medicine with water.

• Do not crush, chew, or interrupt an extended-release tablet. Swallow it intact. Breaking or opening the pill may reason too many of the drug to be released at one time.

• Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat.

What happens if I miss a dose?

• Take the missed doze as soon as you remember. Skip the missed doze if it is nearly time for your following scheduled doze. Do not take extra medication to create up the missed dose.

What happens if I overdose?

• Search abnormal medical attention or call the Poison Help line at 1-800-222-1222.

• Overdose symptoms may include dry mouth, blurred vision, and quick heartbeat.

What must I avoid while taking fesoterodine?

• Get abnormal medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your person, lips, tongue, or throat.

• Stop using fesoterodine and call your doctor at once if you have a serious side effect such as:

· chest pain, quick or uneven heart rate;

· swelling of your hands or feet;

· urinating smaller than normal or not at all; or

· painful or difficult urination.

• Smaller serious side effects may include:

· dry mouth, dry eyes;

· blurred vision;

· dizziness, drowsiness;

· constipation;

· stomach pain or upset;

· cough, dry throat;

· back pain; or

· sleep problems (insomnia).

What another drugs will affect fesoterodine?

• Much drugs can interact with fesoterodine. Adown is just a partial list. Speak your doctor if you are using:

· arsenic trioxide (Trisenox);

· conivaptan (Vaprisol);

· an antibiotic such as clarithromycin (Biaxin), levofloxacin (Levaquin), moxifloxacin (Avelox), pentamidine (NebuPent, Pentam), or telithromycin (Ketek);

· antifungal medicine such as itraconazole (Sporanox), ketoconazole (Nizoral), posaconazole (Noxafil), or voriconazole (Vfend);

· an antidepressant such as amitriptylline (Elavil, Vanatrip, Limbitrol), clomipramine (Anafranil), desipramine (Norpramin), nefazodone, paroxetine (Paxil), or sertraline (Zoloft);

· anti-malaria medications such as chloroquine (Aralen) or mefloquine (Lariam);

· heart rhythm medication such as amiodarone (Cordarone, Pacerone), dofetilide (Tikosyn), disopyramide (Norpace), ibutilide (Corvert), procainamide (Procan, Pronestyl), propafenone (Rythmol), quinidine (Quin-G), or sotalol (Betapace);

· the hepatitis C medications boceprevir (Victrelis) or telaprevir (Incivek);

· HIV/AIDS medication such as atazanavir (Reyataz), delavirdine (Rescriptor), indinavir (Crixivan), nelfinavir (Viracept), saquinavir (Invirase, Fortovase), or ritonavir (Norvir, Kaletra);

· medication to prevent or treat nausea and vomiting, such as dolasetron (Anzemet), droperidol (Inapsine), or ondansetron (Zofran);

· medicines to treat psychiatric disorders, such as chlorpromazine (Thorazine), clozapine (FazaClo, Clozaril), haloperidol (Haldol), pimozide (Orap), thioridazine (Mellaril), or ziprasidone (Geodon);

· migraine headache medication such as sumatriptan (Imitrex, Treximet) or zolmitriptan (Zomig); or

· narcotic medicine such as methadone (Methadose, Diskets, Dolophine).
