Do not use benzphetamine if you have taken an MAO inhibitor such as furazolidone (Furoxone), isocarboxazid (Marplan), phenelzine (Nardil), rasagiline (Azilect), selegiline (Eldepryl, Emsam), or tranylcypromine (Parnate) in the recent 14 days. Serious, life threatening side effects can occur if you use benzphetamine till the MAO inhibitor has cleared from your body.

You must not take benzphetamine if you are allergic to it, or if you have:
· coronary artery malady (hardening of the arteries);
· heart malady, heart rhythm disorder;

· if you have a history of drug or alcohol abuse; o
· if you have used any another diet pills within the past year.

Conversation with your doctor if you have heighten famine or if you otherwise think the medicine is not working properly. Taking more of this medicine will not create it more effective and can reason serious, life-threatening side effects.
Benzphetamine must be taken only for a short time, such as a little weeks. Speak your doctor if you have not lost any weight after 4 weeks of treatment.
Benzphetamine is only part of a complete program of treatment that may also include diet, exercice, and weight control. Follow your diet, medicine, and exercice routines very closely.
Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat.
Hold track of the amount of medication used from every new bottle. Benzphetamine is a drug of abuse and you must be aware if anyone is using your medication improperly or without a prescription.
Take the missed doze as soon as you remember. Skip the missed doze if it is nearly time for your following scheduled doze. Do not take extra medication to create up the missed dose.
Search abnormal medical attention or call the Poison Help line at 1-800-222-1222. An overdose of benzphetamine can be fatal.
Overdose symptoms may include confusion, panic, feeling hostile or aggressive, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach cramps, fever, muscle pain or weakness, dark colored urine, irregular heartbeat, weak pulse, slow breathing, feeling light-headed, seizure, or fainting.
Drinking alcohol can magnify determined side effects of benzphetamine.
To prevent sleep problems, avoid taking this medicine late in the afternoon.
Benzphetamine may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be alert.
Get abnormal medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your person, lips, tongue, or throat.
Stop taking benzphetamine and call your doctor at once if you have a serious side effect such as:
· feeling short of breath, even with mild exertion;
· chest pain, feeling like you might pass out;
· swelling in your ankles or feet;
· pounding heartbeats or fluttering in your chest;
· confusion or irritability, unusual thoughts or behavior; or
· dangerously tall blood pressure (severe headache, blurred vision, buzzing in your ears, anxiety, confusion, chest pain, shortness of breath, uneven heartbeats, seizure).
Smaller serious side effects may include:
· feeling restless or hyperactive;
· headache, dizziness, tremors;
· sleep problems (insomnia);
· heighten sweating;
· dry mouth or an unpleasant taste in your mouth;
· nausea, diarrhea upset stomach; or
· skin rash.

Speak your doctor about all another medicines you use, especially:
· ammonium chloride, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), K-Phos;
· blood pressure medications;
· insulin or oral diabetes medication;
· sodium bicarbonate, potassium citrate (K-Lyte, Urocit-K), sodium citrate and citric acid (Bicitra, Oracit), or sodium citrate and potassium (Citrolith, Polycitra);
· a stimulant or ADHD medicine such as amphetamine salt combination (Adderall), dextroamphetamine (Dexedrine), or methylphenidate (Ritalin); or
· an antidepressant such as amitriptyline (Elavil, Vanatrip), doxepin (Sinequan), desipramine (Norpramin), imipramine (Janimine, Tofranil), nortriptyline (Pamelor), and others.
This list is not complete and another drugs may interact with benzphetamine. Speak your doctor about all medications you use. This includes prescription, over-the-counter, vitamin, and herbal commodity. Do not start a new medicine without telling your doctor.
