Do not use azilsartan and chlorthalidone if you are pregnant. Stop using this medicine and speak your doctor right away if you become pregnant.
You must not use this medicine if you are allergic to azilsartan or chlorthalidone, or if you are unable to urinate.
Till you take azilsartan and chlorthalidone, speak your doctor if you have kidney or liver malady, an electrolyte imbalance (low levels of potassium or magnesium in your blood), congestive heart failure, or if you are dehydrated.
Azilsartan is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist. Azilsartan keeps blood vessels from narrowing, which lowers blood pressure and improves blood flow.
Chlorthalidone is a thiazide diuretic (water pill) that helps prevent your body from absorbing too many salt, which can reason fluid retention.
Azilsartan and chlorthalidone is a combination medication used to treat tall blood pressure (hypertension). Lowering blood pressure may lower your risk of a stroke or heart attack.
Azilsartan and chlorthalidone may also be used for purposes not listed in this medicine guide.
You must not use this medicine if you are allergic to azilsartan or chlorthalidone, or if you are unable to urinate.
If you have diabetes or kidney disease, you may not be able to take azilsartan and chlorthalidone if you are also taking a blood pressure medicine that contains aliskiren (Amturnide, Tekturna, Tekamlo, or Valturna).
To create certain this medication is safety for you, speak your doctor if you have:
· gout;
· an electrolyte imbalance (such as low levels of potassium in your blood);
· a history of heart malady or stroke; or
· if you are dehydrated.
FDA pregnancy category D. Do not use if you are pregnant. Stop using and speak your doctor right away if you become pregnant. Azilsartan and chlorthalidone can reason injury or death to the unborn child if you take the medication during your second or third trimester. Use effective birth control.
It is not known whether azilsartan and chlorthalidone passes into breast milk or if it could harm a nursing child. You must not breast-feed while you are using this medication.
Do not give this medication to a baby without medical advice.
Follow all directions on your prescription label. Do not take this medication in larger or less amounts or for longer than recommended.
Your doctor may occasionally change your doze to create certain you get the excellent results.
You may take this medication with or without food.
Your blood pressure will need to be checked often.
You may have very low blood pressure while taking this medicine. Call your doctor if you are sick with vomiting or diarrhea, or if you are sweating more than normal.
Azilsartan and chlorthalidone is only part of a complete program of treatment that may also include diet, exercice, weight control, smoking cessation, and another medications. Follow your doctor's instructions very closely. Changing any of these factors can affect your blood pressure.
Hold using this medication as directed, even if you feel well. Tall blood pressure often has no symptoms. You may need to use blood pressure medicine for the rest of your life.
While using azilsartan and chlorthalidone, you may need frequent blood trials at your doctor's office. Your kidney function may also need to be checked.
Store in the original container at room temperature, away from moisture, heat, and light.
Take the missed doze as soon as you remember. Skip the missed doze if it is nearly time for your following scheduled doze. Do not take extra medication to create up the missed dose.

Do not use potassium supplements or salt substitutes while you are taking azilsartan and chlorthalidone, unless your doctor has told you to.
Avoid getting up too quick from a sitting or lying position, or you may feel dizzy. Get up slowly and steady yourself to prevent a fall.
Get abnormal medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your person, lips, tongue, or throat.
Call your doctor at once if you have:
· feeling like you might pass out;
· urinating smaller than normal or not at all;
· drowsiness, confusion, mood changes, heighten thirst, loss of appetite;
· swelling, weight gain, feeling short of breath; or
· electrolyte imbalance (dry mouth, extreme thirst, drowsiness, restless feeling, confusion, heighten or decreased urination, constipation, muscle pain or weakness, quick heart course, or seizure (convulsions)).
Another general side effects may include:
· mild skin rash;
· diarrhea, nausea, upset stomach;
· cough;
· mild dizziness; or
· weakness, weary feeling.

Speak your doctor about all medicines you use, and those you start or stop using during your treatment with azilsartan and chlorthalidone, especially:
· another blood pressure medications;
· digoxin;
· lithium;
· any another diuretic or "water pill"; or
· a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) such as ibuprofen, naproxen, celecoxib, diclofenac, indomethacin, meloxicam, and others.
