Do not use this medication if you have taken an MAO inhibitor in the past 14 days. A dangerous drug interaction could occur. MAO inhibitors include isocarboxazid, linezolid, phenelzine, rasagiline, selegiline, and tranylcypromine.
Do not take more of this medicine than is recommended. An overdose of acetaminophen can hurt your liver or reason death. Call your doctor at once if you have nausea, pain in your upper stomach, itching, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, or jaundice (yellowing of your skin or eyes).
In rare cases, acetaminophen may reason a severe skin reaction. Stop taking this medication and call your doctor right away if you have skin redness or a rash that spreads and causes blistering and peeling.
This medication may be habit forming. Never share acetaminophen and pentazocine with other face, especially somebody with a history of drug abuse or addiction.
Acetaminophen is a pain reliever and a fever reducer.
Pentazocine is an opioid pain medicine. An opioid is sometimes called a narcotic.
Acetaminophen and pentazocine is a combination medication used to relieve temperate to severe pain.
Acetaminophen and pentazocine may also be used for purposes not listed in this medicine guide.
You must not use this medication if you are allergic to acetaminophen (Tylenol) or pentazocine (Talwin).

FDA pregnancy category C. It is not known whether this medication is deleterious to an unborn child, but it could reason breathing problems or addiction/withdrawal symptoms in a newborn. Speak your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant while using acetaminophen and pentazocine.
Acetaminophen and pentazocine can pass into breast milk and may harm a nursing child. You must not breast-feed while using this medicine.
Older adults may be more sensitive to the effects of this medicine.
Follow all directions on your prescription label. Never take this medication in larger amounts, or for longer than predesigned. An overdose can hurt your liver or reason death. Speak your doctor if the medication seems to stop working as well in relieving your pain.
Take this medication with food or milk if it upsets your stomach.
Drink 6 to 8 full glasses of water daily to help prevent constipation while you are taking acetaminophen and pentazocine. Do not use a stool softener (laxative) without first asking your doctor.
This medication can reason unusual results with determined urine trials. Speak any doctor who treats you that you are using acetaminophen and pentazocine.
If you need surgery, speak the surgeon onward of time that you are using this medication. You may need to stop using the medication for a short time.
Do not stop using this medication suddenly after long-term use, or you could have unpleasant withdrawal symptoms. Ask your doctor how to avoid withdrawal symptoms when you stop using acetaminophen and pentazocine.
Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat.
Hold track of the amount of medication used from every new bottle. Pentazocine is a drug of abuse and you must be aware if anyone is using your medication improperly or without a prescription.
Since acetaminophen and pentazocine is taken as needed, you may not be on a dosing schedule. If you are taking the medicine regularly, take the missed doze as soon as you remember. Skip the missed doze if it is nearly time for your following scheduled doze. Do not take extra medication to create up the missed dose.
Search abnormal medical attention or call the Poison Help line at 1-800-222-1222. An overdose of acetaminophen and pentazocine can be fatal.
The first signs of an acetaminophen overdose include loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, sweating, and confusion or weakness. Later symptoms may include pain in your upper stomach, dark urine, and yellowing of your skin or the whites of your eyes.
Overdose symptoms may also include extreme drowsiness, anxiety, nightmares, pinpoint pupils, fainting, weak pulse, blue lips, shallow breathing, or no breathing.
This medicine may impair your thinking or reactions. Avoid driving or operating machinery before you know how acetaminophen and pentazocine will affect you.
Ask a doctor or pharmacist till using any another cool, allergy, pain, or sleep medicine. Acetaminophen (sometimes abbreviated as APAP) is contained in much combination medicines. Taking determined commodity together can reason you to get too many acetaminophen which can lead to a fatal overdose. Check the label to see if a medication contains acetaminophen or APAP.
Avoid drinking alcohol while taking acetaminophen and pentazocine. Alcohol may magnify your risk of liver hurt while taking acetaminophen.
Smoking tobacco can create acetaminophen and pentazocine smaller effective.
Get abnormal medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your person, lips, tongue, or throat.
Call your doctor at once if you have:
· weak or shallow breathing, slow heartbeat;
· a light-headed feeling, like you might pass out;
· confusion, hallucinations, unusual thoughts or behavior;
· seizure (convulsions);
· light bruising or bleeding; or
· nausea, upper stomach pain, itching, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes).
General side effects may include:
· drowsiness;
· upset stomach, constipation, diarrhea;
· dry mouth; or
· blurred vision.

Taking this medication with another drugs that create you sleepy or slow your breathing can reason dangerous or life-threatening side effects. Ask your doctor till taking acetaminophen and pentazocine with a sleeping pill, narcotic pain medication, muscle relaxer, or medication for anxiety, depression, or seizures.
Another drugs may interact with acetaminophen and pentazocine, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal commodity. Speak every of your health care providers about all medicines you use now and any medication you start or stop using.
