Some people taking perampanel have had serious psychotic effects, especially when starting the medication.
Call your doctor right away if you have any changes in mood or behavior changes, personality changes, thoughts about suicide, or thoughts about hurting others. Your family or another caregivers must also be alert to changes in your mood or symptoms.
Till you take perampanel, speak your doctor if you have liver or kidney malady, or a history of depression, mental diseases, or addiction to drugs or alcohol.
Tell your doctor right away if you become pregnant while taking perampanel for seizures. Do not start or stop taking perampanel during pregnancy without your doctor's advice.
Do not stop using any another seizure medicine suddenly, even if you feel beautiful. Stopping suddenly may reason heighten seizures. Follow your doctor's instructions about tapering your dose.
Never share perampanel with other face, especially somebody with a history of drug abuse or addiction. Hold the medicine in a seat where others can't get to it.
Perampanel is an anticonvulsant used to treat seizures in adults and children who are at least 12 years old.
Perampanel may also be used for purposes not listed in this medicine guide.
You must not use perampanel if you are allergic to it, or if you have severe liver disease.
To create certain perampanel is safety for you, speak your doctor if you have:
· liver disease;
· kidney disease;
· a history of depression or mental diseases; or
· a history of drug or alcohol addiction.

FDA pregnancy category C. Do not start or stop taking perampanel during pregnancy without your doctor's advice. Having a seizure during pregnancy could harm both mother and child. Tell your doctor right away if you become pregnant while taking perampanel.
If you are pregnant, your name may be listed on a pregnancy registry. This is to track the outcome of the pregnancy and to estimate any effects of perampanel on the baby.
Perampanel can create determined birth control pills smaller effective. Ask your doctor about using non hormonal birth control (condom, diaphragm with spermicide) to prevent pregnancy while taking perampanel.
It is not known whether perampanel passes into breast milk or if it could harm a nursing child. Speak your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby.
Accidental falls may occur more often in elderly patients who take perampanel. Use caution to avoid falling or accidental injury while taking this medicine.
Do not give this medicine to anyone under 12 years old without medical advice.
Perampanel is generally taken at bedtime. Follow all directions on your prescription label. Do not take this medication in larger or less amounts or for longer than recommended.
Your doctor may occasionally change your doze to create certain you get the excellent results.

Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat.
Hold track of the amount of medication used from every new bottle. Perampanel may be a drug of abuse and you must be aware if anyone is using your medication improperly or without a prescription.
Take the missed doze as soon as you remember. Skip the missed doze if it is nearly time for your following scheduled doze. Do not take extra medication to create up the missed dose.
Call your doctor for instructions if you miss your perampanel doze for more than one day.

This medicine may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be alert.
Drinking alcohol can magnify determined side effects of perampanel.
Get abnormal medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your person, lips, tongue, or throat.
Stop using perampanel and call your doctor at once if you have a side effect such as:
· changes in mood, behavior, or personality;
· anger, aggression, anxiety, trouble sleeping, feeling hostile or irritable;
· talking more than usual;
· unusual thoughts, paranoid behavior, panic attacks;
· thoughts about suicide, or thoughts about hurting somebody else;
· trouble walking, loss of balance or coordination;
· an accidental fall; or
· severe dizziness, spinning sensation, feeling like you might pass out.
General side effects may include:
· mild dizziness;
· drowsiness, tiredness;
· nausea;
· weight gain; or
· headache, joint pain, back pain.

Taking perampanel with another drugs that create you sleepy or slow your breathing can magnify these effects. Ask your doctor till taking perampanel with a sleeping pill, narcotic pain medication, muscle relaxer, or medication for anxiety, depression, or seizures.
Speak your doctor about all medicines you use, and those you start or stop using during your treatment with perampanel, especially:
· bosentan;
· nafcillin;
· St. John's wort;
· rifabutin, rifapentine, rifampin;
· HIV medications--efavirenz, nevirapine; or
· another seizure medication--carbamazepine, oxcarbazepine, phenobarbital, phenytoin, primidone.
This list is not complete. Another drugs may interact with perampanel, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal commodity. Not all possible interactions are listed in this medicine manual.
