What is the most significant information I must know about homatropine and hydrocodone?

• Till using homatropine and hydrocodone, speak your doctor if you have asthma or another breathing problems, liver or kidney malady, stomach problems, a underactive thyroid, Addison's malady, enlarged prostate or urination problems, glaucoma, or a history of drug addiction or alcoholism.

• Do not take more of this medicine than predesigned. Adults must not take more than 1 tablet each 4 to 6 hours or 1 teaspoon of the liquid medication each 4 to 6 hours. Children must not take more than one half-tablet each 4 to 6 hours or one half-teaspoon of the liquid medication each 4 to 6 hours.

• Hydrocodone may be habit-forming and must be used only by the face it was predesigned for. Never share this medicine with other face, especially somebody with a history of drug abuse or addiction. Hold the medicine in a seat where others can't get to it.

• Drinking alcohol can magnify determined side effects of homatropine and hydrocodone.

• Till you take this medicine, speak your doctor if you regularly use another medicines that create you sleepy (such as cool or allergy medication, sedatives, narcotic pain medication, sleeping pills, muscle relaxers, and medication for seizures, depression, or anxiety). They can add to sleepiness caused by homatropine and hydrocodone.

• Homatropine and hydrocodone may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be alert.

What is homatropine and hydrocodone?

• Hydrocodone is a narcotic cough medicine.

• Homatropine is a drug that works against the narcotic to prevent an overdose of this medication.

• The combination of homatropine and hydrocodone combination is used to treat cough.

• Homatropine and hydrocodone may also be used for purposes not listed in this medicine guide.

What must I discuss with my health care provider till taking homatropine and hydrocodone?

• You must not use this medicine if you are allergic to homatropine or hydrocodone.

• To create certain you can safely take this medicine, speak your doctor if you have any of these another conditions:

· asthma or another breathing problems;

· a history of head injury or brain tumor;

· liver disease;

· kidney disease;

· stomach problems;

· underactive thyroid;

· Addison's disease;

• Do not give this medicine to a baby younger than 6 years old. Homatropine and hydrocodone may reason serious breathing problems in a young child.

• Older adults and people who are debilitated may be more likely to have side effects from this medication.

How must I take homatropine and hydrocodone?

• Take exactly as predesigned by your doctor. Do not take in larger or less amounts or for longer than recommended. Follow the directions on your prescription label.

• Take this medication with a full glass of water. Drink plenty of water to prevent constipation that may be caused by homatropine and hydrocodone.

• Measure the liquid form of this medicine with a particular dose-measuring spoon or cup, not a regular table spoon. If you do not have a dose-measuring device, ask your pharmacist where you can get one.

• Do not stop using this medicine suddenly, or you could have unpleasant withdrawal symptoms. Ask your doctor how to avoid withdrawal symptoms when you stop using homatropine and hydrocodone.

• Store at room temperature away from heat, moisture, and light.

• Hold track of the amount of medication used from every new bottle. Hydrocodone is a drug of abuse and you must be aware if anyone is using your medication improperly or without a prescription.

What happens if I miss a dose?

• Take the missed doze as soon as you remember. Skip the missed doze if it is nearly time for your following scheduled doze. Do not take extra medication to create up the missed dose.

What happens if I overdose?

• Search abnormal medical attention or call the Poison Help line at 1-800-222-1222.

• Overdose symptoms may include severe drowsiness, limp muscles, cool or clammy skin, blue lips, slow heart course, fainting, shallow breathing, or breathing that stops.

What must I avoid while taking homatropine and hydrocodone?

• This medicine may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be alert.

• Drinking alcohol can magnify determined side effects of homatropine and hydrocodone.

What are the possible side effects of homatropine and hydrocodone?

• Get abnormal medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your person, lips, tongue, or throat.

• Stop using this medicine and call your doctor at once if you have a serious side effect such as:

· painful urination;

· urinating smaller than normal or not at all;

· extreme drowsiness or weakness;

· feeling like you might pass out;

· weak or shallow breathing, or breathing that stops;

· feeling anxious or fearful; or

· unusual thoughts or behavior.

• Smaller serious side effects may include:

· mild drowsiness, dizziness;

· trouble concentrating;

· nausea, vomiting, constipation; or

· skin itching or rash.
