Studies suggest that
omeprazole 20 mg daily does not affect
ciclosporin levels, but isolated reports describe doubled
serum ciclosporin levels in one patient, and more than halved
serum ciclosporin levels in another. Both patients were taking
omeprazole 40 mg daily.
This interaction is unlikely to be of general importance, but bear it in mind in case of an unexpected response to treatment, particularly with doses of
omeprazole 40 mg daily or above.
