The AUC of
rifabutin is increased by about 80% by
fluconazole. This carries an increased risk of uveitis.
Concurrent use with
fluconazole can be advantageous but because of the increased risk of uveitis, the CSM in the UK says that the dosage of
rifabutin should be reduced to 300 mg daily.
