In one study
fluconazole increased the AUC of
zidovudine by 74% but other studies have found that
fluconazole causes only slight changes in
zidovudine pharmacoki- netics. Increased
zidovudine levels, thought to be caused by
itraconazole, have been seen in two cases.
Be aware that concurrent use may rarely result in
zidovudine toxicity.
