Several cancers are more common or more aggressive in people infected with HIV, the 
virus that causes 
AIDS. These malignancies include certain types of 
immune system cancers known as lymphomas, 
Kaposi's sarcoma and anogenital cancers primarily affecting the 
cervix and the anus. HIV, or the immune suppression it induces, appears to play a role in the development of these cancers. See also
