OPIOIDS AND PREGABALIN
The manufacturer of pregabalin notes that there was no clinically relevant pharmacokinetic interaction between pregabalin and oxycodone, and that there was no clinically important effect on respiration. However, pregabalin appeared to cause an additive impairment in cognitive and gross motor function when given with
oxycodone. It seems possible that all opioids may have this effect.
Caution is warranted during the combined use of pregabalin and any opioid.
