• Use this medicine for the full amount of time predesigned by your doctor or recommended in the package even if you begin to feel better. The symptoms may improve till the infection is completely healed.

• Avoid wearing tight-fitting, synthetic clothing (e.g., panty hose) that does not let air circulation. Wear loose-fitting clothing made of cotton and another natural fibers before the infection is healed.

• Avoid getting this medicine in the eyes, nose, or mouth.

What is miconazole vaginal?

• Miconazole is an antifungal medicine. It prevents fungus from growing.

• Miconazole vaginal is used to treat vaginal candida (yeast) infections.

• Miconazole vaginal may also be used for purposes another than those listed in this medicine guide.

What must I discuss with my healthcare provider till using miconazole vaginal?

• If this is the first time that you have ever had symptoms of a vaginal yeast infection, consult your doctor till using this medication.

• Do not use miconazole vaginal if you have ever had an allergic reaction to it.

• Till using miconazole vaginal, conversation to your doctor if you have

· a fever,

· abdominal pain,

· foul-smelling discharge,

· diabetes, or

· HIV or AIDS.

• You may not be able to use miconazole vaginal, or you may require particular monitoring during treatment if you have any of the conditions listed above.

How must I use miconazole vaginal?

• Use miconazole vaginal exactly as directed by your doctor or follow the directions that accompany the package. If you do not understand these instructions, ask your pharmacist, nurse, or doctor to explain them to you.

• Wash your hands till and after using the medication.

• Insert the tablet, suppository, or cream into the vagina using the applicator as directed.

• Use this medicine continuously, even during your menstrual period.

• You can use a sanitary napkin to prevent the medicine from staining your clothing but do not use a tampon.

• If the infection does not clear up after you have finished one rate of therapy, or if it appears to get worse, see your doctor. You may have other type of infection.

• Avoid getting this medicine in the eyes, nose, or mouth.

• Store miconazole vaginal at room temperature away from moisture and heat.

What happens if I miss a dose?

• Apply the missed doze as soon as you remember. However, if it is nearly time for the following doze, skip the doze you missed and apply only the following regularly scheduled doze. Do not use a double doze of this medication.

What happens if I overdose?

• An overdose of miconazole vaginal is unlikely. If you do suspect that a many larger than usual doze has been used or that miconazole vaginal has been ingested, contact an abnormal room or a poison control center.

What must I avoid while using miconazole vaginal?

• Miconazole may hurt a condom or diaphragm. Use other form of birth control while using miconazole vaginal.

What are the possible side effects of miconazole vaginal?

• Stop using miconazole vaginal and search abnormal medical attention if you experience an allergic reaction (shortness of breath; closing of your throat; swelling of your lips, person, or tongue; or hives).

• Another, smaller serious side effects may be more likely to occur. These include burning, itching, irritation of the skin, and an heighten need to urinate.
