Isolated reports describe delirium in one patient and a seizure in another when 
methylphenidate was taken with sertraline. 
 The 
clinical significance of this interaction is unknown, but bear it in mind in case of an unexpected response to treatment. Note that the use of 
methylphenidate with 
SSRIs (fluoxetine, 
paroxetine, sertraline) has been reported to be beneficial and without significant adverse effects.
