Clarithromycin impaired the clearance of
trazodone and enhanced its sedative effects in healthy subjects.
The UK manufacturer of
trazodone recommends that a lower dose of
trazodone should be considered if it is given with a CYP3A4 inhibitor such as
erythromycin, but that concurrent use should be avoided where possible. Note that other
