MACROLIDES AND REBOXETINE

The manufacturers predict that macrolides will decrease the clearance of reboxetine by inhibiting CYP3A4. Other CYP3A4 inhibitors have been shown to have this effect.
The manufacturers recommend that macrolides (they specifically name erythro-
mycin) should not be given with reboxetine. Note that the macrolides differ in their ability to inhibit CYP3A4, see macrolides.
