LEVOTHYROXINE AND SUCRALFATE

An isolated report describes a marked reduction in the effects of levothyroxine in a patient taking sucralfate. A subsequent study found no interaction.
The general importance of this interaction is unknown, but bear it in mind in case
of an unexpected response to treatment. Consider avoiding taking sucralfate until
several hours after the levothyroxine dose.
