Therapeutic doses of 
ferrous sulfate (105 mg or 210 mg from modified-release tablets) did not alter the 
pharmacokinetics of 
mycophenolate in two studies. However, one study found that a single 1050-mg dose of 
ferrous sulfate (210 mg of elemental iron) reduced the AUC and maximum levels of 
mycophenolate by more than 90%. Other 
iron compounds would be expected to interact similarly. 
 No action needed with usual therapeutic doses of 
iron.
