IRON AND LEVOTHYROXINE

Ferrous sulfate (and therefore probably other iron compounds) causes a reduction in the effects of levothyroxine in patients treated for hypothyroidism.
Monitor the effects of concurrent use and consider separating the doses by 2 hours or more, on the assumption that reduced absorption accounts for this interaction.
