Cimetidine increases the
plasma levels of
moclobemide by almost 40%.
It has been recommended that if
moclobemide is added to treatment with
cimetidine it should be started at the lowest therapeutic dose, and titrated as required. If
cimetidine is added to treatment with moclobemide, the dosage of the
moclobemide should initially be reduced by 50% and later adjusted as necessary.
