Isolated cases of rhabdomyolysis have been described in patients given atorvastatin or 
simvastatin with 
fusidic acid. 
Fusidic acid was also a possible contributing factor in another case. 
 The general significance of this interaction is unclear. Patients given 
statins should be counselled regarding myopathy (e.g. report any unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness). Reinforce this if 
fusidic acid is given.
