Primidone lowers
serum ethosuximide levels and possibly shortens its
half-life. Similarly,
phenobarbital has been reported both to reduce and not affect the
half-life of
ethosuximide.
Phenobarbital levels (from primidone) do not appear to be affected by
ethosuximide.
The
clinical significance of these effects is unclear.
