• You must not use this medicine if you are allergic to enfuvirtide.
• Till using enfuvirtide, speak your doctor if you have a bleeding or blood clotting mess (such as hemophilia), or a history of breathing problems.
• Do not use enfuvirtide as your only medicine to treat HIV. Enfuvirtide should be used in combination with another HIV medications. Your malady may become resistant to enfuvirtide if you do not use it in combination with another medicines your doctor has prescribed.
• Most people using this medicine have a skin reaction (itching, redness, swelling, pain, bruising, tenderness) where the medication is injected. Call your doctor if these symptoms get worse or recent longer than 7 days.
• To excellent treat your condition, use all of your medications as directed by your doctor. Do not change your doses or medicine schedule without your doctor's advice. • Having HIV makes it easier for you to get another infections, and some people using enfuvirtide have developed pneumonia. It is not clear whether enfuvirtide is the actual reason of pneumonia but it may magnify your risk. You may also be more likely to have pneumonia if you smoke, if you have ever had lung malady, or if you have a history of intravenous (IV) drug use.
• Enfuvirtide is an antiviral medicine that prevents human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) from infecting healthy cells in your body.
• Enfuvirtide is used to treat HIV, which causes acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). Enfuvirtide is not a cure for HIV or AIDS.
• Enfuvirtide is generally given after another medications have been tried without successful treatment of HIV.
• Enfuvirtide may also be used for purposes not listed in this medicine guide.

• Do not use enfuvirtide as your only medicine to treat HIV. Enfuvirtide should be used in combination with another HIV medications. Your malady may become resistant to enfuvirtide if you do not use it in combination with another medicines your doctor has prescribed.
• Enfuvirtide is injected under the skin. You may be shown how to use injections at house. Do not self inject this medication if you do not fully understand how to give the injection and properly dispose of used needles and syringes.
• Enfuvirtide is generally injected twice a day. Follow your doctor's instructions.
• Enfuvirtide is a powder medication that should be mixed with a liquid (diluent) till using it. If you are using the injections at house, be certain you understand how to properly mix and store the medication.
• Every single use vial (bottle) of this medication is for one use only. Throw away after one use, even if there is still some medication left in it after injecting your dose.
• After mixing the powder and the liquid, gently tap the vial for 10 seconds and then slowly roll it between your hands. Allow the vial stand before the powder completely dissolves (up to 45 minutes). If the mixture is foamy or gel-like, let more time for it to dissolve.
• Do not shake the mixed medication or it may foam. Prepare your doze in a syringe only when you are ready to give yourself an injection. Do not use the medicine if it has changed colors or has particles in it. Call your doctor for a new prescription.

• Do not mix enfuvirtide with another medications in the same syringe.

• Carefully follow all instructions about giving yourself an enfuvirtide injection. Most people using this medicine have a skin reaction (itching, redness, swelling, pain, bruising, tenderness) where the medication is injected. • Use a disposable needle only once. Throw away used needles in a puncture-proof container (ask your pharmacist where you can get one and how to dispose of it). Hold this container out of the reach of children and pets.
• To be certain this medicine is helping your condition, your blood may need to be tested often. Visit your doctor regularly.
• Use enfuvirtide regularly to get the most benefit. Get your prescription refilled till you run out of medication completely.
• Store unmixed enfuvirtide powder and the liquid diluent apart at room temperature away from moisture and heat.
• You may also store unmixed enfuvirtide powder in the refrigerator, do not freeze.
• After mixing enfuvirtide with a diluent, store in the refrigerator and use it within 24 hours. Do not freeze.
• You may take the mixed medication out of the refrigerator and let it to reach room temperature till giving the injection. Do not heat the medication till using.
• Use the missed doze as soon as you remember. Skip the missed doze if it is nearly time for your following scheduled doze. Do not use extra medication to create up the missed dose.
• Search abnormal medical attention or call the Poison Help line at 1-800-222-1222.
• Avoid injecting this medicine around your elbow, knee, groin, navel, or buttocks. Do not inject into moles, scars, tattoos, burns, bruises, or skin that is not otherwise healthy.
• Using enfuvirtide will not prevent you from passing HIV to another people. Avoid having unprotected sex or sharing razors or toothbrushes. Conversation with your doctor about safety ways to prevent HIV transmission during sex. Sharing drug or medication needles is never safety, even for a healthy person.
• Enfuvirtide can reason side effects that may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be awake and alert.
• Get abnormal medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: skin rash or hives; fever with vomiting; blood in your urine; difficulty breathing; fainting; swelling of your foots, person, lips, tongue, or throat.
• Stop using enfuvirtide and call your doctor at once if you have any of these serious side effects:
· fever, chills, chest congestion, cough with yellow or green mucus, stabbing chest pain, wheezing, feeling short of breath;
· signs of a new infection such as sore throat, flu symptoms, swollen glands, light bruising or bleeding (bleeding from your nose or gums), loss of appetite, mouth sores;
· severe pain in your upper stomach spreading to your back, nausea and vomiting;
· rapid heart course, heighten sweating, tremors, feeling anxious or irritable;
· diarrhea, unexplained weight loss, menstrual changes, impotence, loss of interest in sex;
· swelling in your neck or throat (enlarged thyroid);
· problems with balance or eye movement, trouble speaking or swallowing;
· severe lower back pain, loss of bladder or bowel control;
· weakness or prickly feeling in your fingers or toes, tingling or nerve pain lasting for different weeks or months; or
· pain, warmth, swelling, oozing, or redness where an injection was given, especially if these symptoms get worse or recent longer than 7 days.
• Smaller serious side effects may include:
· constipation;
· itching, irritation, mild redness, mild swelling, or raised bumps under your skin where the medication was injected;
· pain or numbness in your foots or legs;
· weary feeling, muscle weakness or loss of strength;
· muscle pain;
· runny or stuffy nose;
· sleep problems (insomnia); or
· depression.
