Saquinavir increases the AUC of
eplerenone 2.1-fold. The manufacturer predicts that nelfinavir and
ritonavir will interact to a greater extent.
The manufacturer recommends a maximum
eplerenone dose of 25 mg daily in
those taking saquinavir. Because they predict a greater effect with nelfinavir and
ritonavir they contraindicate the concurrent use of these
protease inhibitors.
