Anxiety or Sedation:  0.12-0.8 mg/kg/day PO q6-8h 
 0.04-0.3 mg/kg/dose 
IV q4h prn  
Status epilepticus (IV):  0.05-0.3 mg/kg/dose q15-30 min to max cumulative dose of 5 mg (<5 yrs) or 10 mg (>5 yrs).  
Status epilepticus (rectal gel):  2-5 yrs: 0.5 mg/kg/dose (max 10 mg) 
 6-11 yrs: 0.3 mg/kg/dose (max 10 mg) 
 >12 yrs: 0.2 mg/kg/dose (max 20 mg)  
Conscious sedation: 0.2-0.3 mg/kg PO/IV/IM (max 10 mg) 45-60 min prior to procedure. 
 May cause significant respiratory 
depression.
