· glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency;
· anemia; or
· liver disease.
You may not be able to use dapsone topical, or you may require a dosage adjustment or particular monitoring if you have any of the conditions listed above.
Dapsone topical is in the FDA pregnancy category C. This means that it is not known whether it will be deleterious to an unborn child. Do not use dapsone topical without first talking to your doctor if you are pregnant or could become pregnant during treatment.

Hold dapsone topical away from your mouth and eyes.

Store dapsone topical at room temperature away from moisture and heat.
Apply the missed doze as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for the following doze, skip the doze you missed and use only the following regularly scheduled dose.

Do not swallow dapsone topical. If you swallow dapsone topical, call your doctor or poison control center right away.
Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight. Dapsone topical may magnify the sensitivity of the skin to sunlight and sunburn may be more likely to occur. If exposure to the sun is unavoidable, protective clothing.
The most general side effects of dapsone topical are dryness, redness, oiliness and peeling of the skin being treated. Call your doctor if you have overweening tiredness or any side effects that do not go away or bother you.
