Rifabutin increases the clearance of
dapsone, but may also increase its
toxicity (methaemoglobinaemia).
Concurrent use should be well monitored to confirm that treatment is effective. It may be necessary to raise the dosage of
dapsone. Also be alert for any evidence of methaemoglobinaemia.
