You must not use this medicine if you are allergic to ciprofloxacin (Cipro).
Avoid getting this medicine in your mouth or eyes or on the skin. If it does get into any of these areas, rinse with water.
Stop using this medicine and call your doctor at once if you have any skin rash (no matter how mild), white patches in your mouth or throat, or vaginal itching or discharge.
Use this medicine for the full predesigned length of time. Your symptoms may improve till the infection is completely cleared. Call your doctor if your infection does not improve after using ciprofloxacin otic, or if your symptoms get worse.
Ciprofloxacin es an antibiotic that fights bacteria.
Ciprofloxacin otic (for the ears) is used to treat ear infections that affect the outer ear canal. This type of ear infection is sometimes called "swimmer's ear."
Ciprofloxacin otic may also be used for another purposes not listed in this medicine guide.
You must not use this medicine if you are allergic to ciprofloxacin (Cipro).
FDA pregnancy category C. It is not known whether ciprofloxacin otic ear drops are deleterious to an unborn child. Speak your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant during treatment.
It is not known whether ciprofloxacin otic passes into breast milk or if it could harm a nursing child. Do not use this medicine without telling your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby.
Use this medicine exactly as predesigned by your doctor. Do not use it in larger amounts or for longer than recommended. Follow the directions on your prescription label.
Otic medications are for use only the ear. Do not take ciprofloxacin otic by mouth or apply it to the skin.
Wash your hands till using this medication.
Ciprofloxacin otic comes in single-use containers. Every container has satis medication in it for one dose.
Till using the medicine, warm the container by holding it in your hands for at least a minute. Using ciprofloxacin otic that is cool may reason dizziness when you seat the medication into your ear.
To use the ear drops, lie down with your ear facing upward. Pull back on your ear gently to open up the ear canal. If giving this medication to a baby, pull down on the earlobe to open the ear canal. Empty all of the medication from the container into the ear and remain lying down for at least 1 minute longer.
If you are treating both ears, repeat the instructions above using a second container of ciprofloxacin otic.
Ciprofloxacin must be used 2 times daily for 7 days, unless your doctor tells you otherwise. Your doses must be spaced at least 12 hours apart.
Every single-use container of this medication is for one use only. Throw away the container after one use, even if there is still some medication left in it.
Use this medicine for the full predesigned length of time. Your symptoms may improve till the infection is completely cleared. Call your doctor if your infection does not improve after using ciprofloxacin otic, or if your symptoms get worse.
Store this medicine at room temperature away from moisture, heat, and easy. Hold every single-use container in the foil pouch before you are ready to use the medication.
Use the missed doze as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for your following doze, wait before then to use the medication and skip the missed doze. Do not use extra medication to create up the missed dose.
Search abnormal medical attention if you think you have used too many of this medicine.
An overdose of ciprofloxacin otic is not likely to reason life-threatening symptoms.
Avoid getting this medicine in your mouth or eyes or on the skin. If it does get into any of these areas, rinse with water.
Get abnormal medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your person, lips, tongue, or throat.
Stop using this medicine and call your doctor at once if you have a serious side effect such as:
· the first sign of any skin rash, no matter how mild;
· white patches in your mouth or throat; or
· vaginal itching or discharge.
Smaller serious side effects may include:
· headache; or
· itching, pain, or mild irritation after using the ear drops.

It is not likely that another drugs you take orally or inject will have an effect on ciprofloxacin otic used in the ears. But much drugs can interact with every another. Do not start a new medicine without telling your doctor.
