In isolated cases
sulfadiazine given orally or sulfadimidine with
trimethoprim given intravenously have caused a fall in
serum ciclosporin levels. Sulfametoxydiazine possibly caused a minor fall in one case.
These interactions are not firmly established. Until more information is available it would be prudent to check
ciclosporin levels if any sulphonamide is added to established treatment with
ciclosporin.
