Octreotide causes a marked fall in the
serum levels of ciclosporin, and inadequate
immunosuppression may result.
Lanreotide is predicted to interact similarly.
Ciclosporin levels and effects (e.g. on
renal function) should be monitored as a matter of routine, but it may be prudent to increase monitoring if
lanreotide is started or stopped.
