Carbamazepine can cause a small to moderate reduction in the
serum levels of
zonisamide, and
zonisamide has been reported to cause increases, decreases or no changes to
carbamazepine serum levels.
The
clinical importance of this interaction is unknown, but be aware of the possibility of changes in the levels of both drugs if they are given together.
