Ask a doctor or pharmacist about taking calcium and vitamin D if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. Your doze needs may be various during pregnancy or while you are breast-feeding a child.
Use exactly as directed on the label, or as predesigned by your doctor. Do not use in larger or less amounts or for longer than recommended.
Take the calcium and vitamin D regular tablet with a full glass of water.
Take this medication with food that is not tall in fiber (such as bran).
The chewable tablet should be chewed till you swallow it.
Do not crush, chew, or interrupt an extended-release tablet. Swallow it intact. Breaking the pill may reason too many of the drug to be released at one time.
Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat.
Take the missed doze as soon as you remember. Skip the missed doze if it is nearly time for your following scheduled doze. Do not take extra medication to create up the missed dose.

Overdose symptoms may include vomiting, stomach pain, loss of appetite, heighten thirst or urination, muscle pain or weakness, joint pain, confusion, and feeling weary or restless.
Avoid taking any another vitamin or mineral supplements that contain calcium or vitamin D without your doctor's advice.
Avoid taking an antacid within 2 hours till or after you take calcium and vitamin D combination. Some antacids can create it harder for your body to absorb calcium and vitamin D combination.
Get abnormal medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your person, lips, tongue, or throat.
Smaller serious side effects may include:
· an irregular heartbeat;
· nausea;
· dry mouth;
· constipation;
· weakness;
· headache;
· a metallic taste in your mouth;
· muscle or bone pain; or
· drowsiness.
