Plasma levels of propranolol and other extensively metabolised
beta blockers (metoprolol, oxprenolol) are increased by hydralazine, but an increase in adverse effects does not seem to have been reported.
Concurrent use is usually valuable in the treatment of hypertension. No particular
precautions seem to be necessary, but the outcome should be monitored. Note
that additive hypotensive effects are likely, see
antihypertensives.
