In general
digoxin and
beta blockers appear not to interact. However there is always the risk of additive bradycardia. Carvedilol appears to increase the bioavailability of
digoxin (14% increase in AUC seen in adults, cases suggest a doubling of levels in children).
Normally uneventful, no immediate action needed. If bradycardia does occur dose
adjustment may be necessary, and this seems more likely to be necessary in children.
