Ketoconazole or
itraconazole may inhibit the
metabolism of
trazodone.
A lower dose of
trazodone should be considered if it is given with these
azoles, although in the UK it has been suggested that the combination should be avoided where possible. Monitor for increased
trazodone adverse effects such as sedation, if concurrent use is required.
