The manufacturer notes that other drugs that affect brain monoamine levels (like atomoxetine) have caused serious reactions (serotonin
syndrome, neuro- leptic malignant
syndrome) when taken with
MAOIs.
The manufacturer contraindicates the use of
atomoxetine during and for 2 weeks after stopping an MAOI.
