Quetiapine levels are increased 6-fold by
ketoconazole, a potent inhibitor of CYP3A4.
Protease inhibitors are also inhibitors of CYP3A4 and are therefore predicted to interact similarly.
Monitor for signs of adverse antipsychotic effects if a
protease inhibitor is also given, and consider reducing the dose as necessary.
