AMIODARONE AND DEXTROMETHORPHAN

Amiodarone can modestly reduce the clearance of dextromethorphan.
The extent of the interaction is unlikely to be clinically relevant in patients taking dextromethorphan, since this drug has a wide therapeutic index and its dose is not individually titrated. Remember that dextromethorphan occurs in a considerable number of proprietary cough preparations.
