The effects of
dexamethasone can be reduced or abolished by
aminoglutethimide.
Doubling the
dexamethasone dose has proven effective in some cases, although greater increases have been needed. Hydrocortisone is routinely given with
aminoglutethimide without problem, and so may provide an alternative in some cases.
