You must not use this medicine if you are allergic to acetic acid, antipyrine, benzocaine, or polycosanol, or if you have a hole in your ear (ruptured ear drum) or discharge from your ear.
Till using this medicine, speak your doctor if you have severe ear pain, fever, or hearing problems.
Otic medications are for use only the ear. Do not take otic medicine by mouth or apply it to the skin.
Use this medicine for the full predesigned length of time. Your symptoms may improve till the condition is completely cleared. Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve, or if they get worse while using the medication.
Stop using this medicine and call your doctor at once if you have severe redness, burning, stinging, or new pain in or near your ears.
Acetic acid is an antibiotic that treats infections caused by bacteria or fungus.
Antipyrine is a pain reliever.
Benzocaine is a numbing medicine.
Polycosanol is an extract of natural plant waxes.
The combination of acetic acid, antipyrine, benzocaine, and polycosanol otic (for the ear) is used to treat ear infection and related pain, swelling, itching, and build-up of overweening earwax.
Acetic acid, antipyrine, benzocaine, and polycosanol otic may also be used for purposes not listed in this medicine guide.
You must not use this medicine if you are allergic to acetic acid, antipyrine, benzocaine, or polycosanol, or if you have a hole in your ear (ruptured ear drum) or discharge from your ear.
To create certain you can safely use this medicine, speak your doctor if you have severe ear pain, fever, or hearing problems.
FDA pregnancy category C. It is not known whether this medicine will harm an unborn child. Speak your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant while using this medication.
It is not known whether acetic acid, antipyrine, benzocaine, and polycosanol otic passes into breast milk or if it could harm a nursing child. Do not use this medicine without telling your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby.
Use exactly as predesigned by your doctor. Do not use in larger or less amounts or for longer than recommended. Follow the directions on your prescription label.
Otic medications are for use only the ear. Do not take otic medicine by mouth or apply it to the skin.
Wash your hands till and after using this medication.
Warm the container by holding it in your hands for at least a minute. Using cool ear drops may reason dizziness when you seat the medication into your ear.
To use the ear drops:
· Remove the cap from the dropper bottle. Lie down or tilt your head with your ear facing upward. Pull back on your ear gently to open up the ear canal. To give this medication to a baby, pull down on the earlobe to open the ear canal.
· Keep the dropper upside down over the ear canal and drop in satis medication to fill your ear canal.
· Wet a little piece of cotton with the medication by placing a little drops on it. Seat the cotton into the ear canal to plug the ear and hold the medication from draining out.
· You may need to use this medication each 1 to 2 hours before your pain is relieved. Follow your doctor's instructions.
· To remove earwax, use this medicine for 2 or 3 days. Then gently rinse your ear canal with warm water using a bulb syringe to remove leftover earwax.
· Wipe the dropper tip with a clean tissue. Do not wash the tip with water or soap.
· Do not seat the dropper tip into your ear, or let the tip to touch any surface, including your ears or hands. It may become contaminated.
Do not use the medicine if it has changed colors or has particles in it. Call your doctor for a new prescription.
Use this medicine for the full predesigned length of time. Your symptoms may improve till the condition is completely cleared. Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve, or if they get worse while using the medication.
Store at room temperature away from moisture, heat, and easy. Hold the bottle tightly closed when not in use.
Use the missed doze as soon as you remember. Skip the missed doze if it is nearly time for your following scheduled doze. Do not use extra medication to create up the missed dose.

Avoid getting this medicine in your eyes. If this does happen, rinse with water.
Get abnormal medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your person, lips, tongue, or throat.
Stop using this medicine and call your doctor at once if you have severe redness, burning, stinging, or new pain in or near your ears.
