An isolated report describes a rise in blood pressure in one hypertensive patient, which was attributed to an interaction between enalapril and
rifampicin.
Rifampicin may reduce the
plasma levels of the active metabolites of imidapril and spirapril.
The general importance of these interactions is unknown (expected to be minor), but bear them in mind in case of unexpected elevations in blood pressure.
